UK-based French to English translator, specialising in

I studied Modern Languages (French and German) at the University of Cambridge (MA Cantab), gaining a first in translation. I also hold the Chartered Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation (DipTrans), a Level 7 qualification equivalent to a Master's degree. I am a qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (MITI).
Previously an in-house translator at Financial Times Information and a major French investment bank, I have been a full-time freelance translator since 2003.
I work with specialist translation agencies and direct clients, including financial institutions and CAC 40 companies, offering impeccable standards and swift turnarounds. My translations are not only technically accurate but also appropriate in style, elegantly composed and, above all, clear.
In many cases, I work closely with clients to establish their "brand voice" and am able to compile English-language glossaries and style guides.
